On February 24th, Xiaomi’s budget sub-brand Redmi announced that its flagship K20 Pro has been officially discontinued.
The K20 Pro was released on May 28, 2019, becoming Redmi’s first high-end flagship.
The discontinuation of the K20 Pro is likely to make way for the release of its much-anticipated next generation flagship, the Redmi K30 Pro.
Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi Group China and General Manager of the Redmi brand, previously hinted that the K30 Pro will be released as soon as March. The new smartphone is likely to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.0 flash memory, and support NSA dual-mode 5G.
