Xiaoju Charging Arranges “Preferred Station” Nationwide in China

Nowadays, the number of new energy vehicles in China has exceeded 10 million, and more and more consumers are choosing to buy electric cars. Recently, Xiaoju Charging, a smart charging operator under DiDi Chuxing, launched “Xiaoju Preferred Station”, which focuses on improving users’ charging experience from operational, service and product technology aspects.

“We hope to provide users with convenient and reliable charging services through the ‘Xiaoju Preferred Station’, making it truly easy to find and charge electric vehicles,” said Xie Jingjing , General Manager of Xiaoju New Energy.

According to reports, “Xiaoju Preferred Station” must meet the “Charging Service Experience Standard Guidelines” formulated by Xiaoju Charging. The guidelines cover various aspects such as systems, technology, and operations. They specify service indicators such as station decoration standards and charging success rates to ensure that stations have four major experiential advantages compared to other charging stations: easy to find, fast charging speed, good safety and security.

The Xiaoju Preferred Station has a unified orange image logo. Users can easily find the “Xiaoju Preferred Station” by recognizing the orange-painted charging station. Users who log in to the Xiaoju Charging Mini Program, DiDi Global‘s App, and DiDi Driver’s App on their mobile phones can access these stations. Xiaoju Charging also provides clear directional signs and electronic navigation maps for some “Xiaoju Preferred Stations”.

As of the end of 2022, Xiaoju Charging has connected more than 120 core cities across the country, with nearly 90,000 fast charging piles and a cumulative charging capacity of 9 billion kilowatt-hours. The multi-point layout has laid a hardware foundation for users to easily find charging stations.

In response to the pain points of charging abnormalities, the charging piles at “Xiaoju Preferred Station” are equipped with the “Unicorn OS system” independently developed by Xiaoju Charging, which can ensure a low abnormality rate during the charging process.

Xiaoju Charging will also launch the industry’s first “compensation” service in some cities as a pilot program. During the charging process, if users encounter problems with stopping charging, they can apply for compensation immediately. Through technology and services, we provide users with a safety net to ensure a good charging experience.

In terms of charging efficiency, Xiaoju’s DC fast charging piles account for more than 95%. Among them, the proportion of fast charging piles with a single gun and a maximum charging power of 120kw or above is as high as 97%, and the proportion of fast charging piles with a maximum power of 180kw or above is 13%. It can meet the charging power requirements of domestic mass-produced passenger cars and some commercial vehicles. With just 30 minutes of charge, it can provide up to 400 kilometers in the driving range.

Xiaoju Charging also ensures charging safety through multiple methods. It has independently developed battery protection technology and provides 17 safety protections for vehicles. It also offers free charging insurance with a coverage of up to RMB 500,000 per incident for users, providing double security guarantees for both people and cars, allowing car owners to “charge with peace of mind”.

Xiaoju Charging has currently cooperated with more than 20 host factories including Porsche, NIO, Ideal, Xiaopeng, GAC Aion and Dongfeng Honda. It has also established interconnection cooperation with many state-owned enterprises, including State Grid Corporation of China. Owners of the above brand electric vehicles can also enjoy “easy to find and easy to charge” charging services at “Xiaoju Preferred Stations”.

In addition, informed sources revealed that the first batch of Xiaoju Preferred Stations will be launched in nine cities, including Beijing, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Changsha, Wuhan Chengdu and Xi’an.
