Tesla China Denies Plans to Produce A Six-Seater Model Y Next Year

On September 3, Reuters reported that Tesla plans to start producing a six-seat version of the Model Y domestically by the end of 2025. Tesla China responded, stating, ‘This is false information.’

According to sources, Tesla has asked suppliers to prepare for a double-digit increase in production of the Model Y at its Shanghai factory.

Previous reports stated that Tesla launched the Model Y in 2020 and has been developing a facelift project called ‘Juniper.’

Another source told Reuters that this model can accommodate 5 passengers and is planned to be released in 2025, instead of the originally planned 2024.
