Dolby Atmos Surround Sound to Come as Standard in All NIO ET7s

On Tuesday, Shanghai-based automobile manufacturer NIO announced a new cooperation agreement with Dolby Laboratories. The electric sedan model NIO ET7 will come with Dolby Atmos surround sound technology, bringing customers a premium in-car listening experience through its 7.1.4 immersion sound system.

NIO unveiled that its NIO ET7 comes as a standard with 23 speakers and a total output of 1000W. The four primary channels use a three-way speaker array featuring a dedicated treble, mid-tone and bass driver, a subwoofer, plus four overhead speakers.

At the same time, NIO Radio, the firm’s exclusive radio station, will also benefit from the Dolby Atmos cooperation. At present, the company has not disclosed the subscription price of the NIO Radio Dolby Atmos Program.
