Nubia Launches Mid-Range 5G Gaming Phone Nubia Play

After releasing several models under the Reg Magic name without leaving a lasting impression, Chinese smartphone maker Nubia released the Nubia Play, a 5G smartphone dedicated to mobile gaming. Among others, the phone features a 144Hz refresh rate on its AMOLED display, and a Snapdragon 765G processor.

The Nubia Play is bringing a 6.65-inch display and a 48MP quad-camera setup. Apart from the main camera, it also has an 8MP ultrawide lens and two 2MP sensors. The Nubia Play comes with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage, in addition a 5,100mAh battery.

To create a better gaming experience, the phone features capacitive touch buttons for gameplay, immersive speakers, and a special cooling system.

The Nubia 5G is available in black, blue or white and all three colors have a prominent X across the back with a contrasting trim and a large 5G logo. The phone starts at $579.
