Smartphone brand vivo launched its flagship S12 series in China in December 2021. Recently, leaks have emerged showing that the company is now developing a follow-up series, which may be launched under the name vivo S15, including at least three models, namely the vivo S15, the vivo S15 Pro and the vivo S15E.
Chinese tipster with username “@Digital Chat Station” posted on Tuesday that the S15 model has notch in the center of the straight display with a right-angle frame. Its ID design is close to the previous Origin Ocean demo machine, but the widths of the upper and lower parts of the smartphone are not equal, so it is “kind of a youth version.”
The account also revealed the main specifications of the vivo S15 Pro, which will be equipped with an OLED display to support a high refresh rate. Like the vivo S12 Pro, its screen will have curved edges. The device will use a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset and will support 80W fast charging.
The S15 Pro is expected to feature a 50MP main selfie camera. It will support other functions, including NFC, IR transmitter and linear motor. The vivo S15 will be equipped with a Snapdragon 870 chipset. The blogger has not shared any other information about the standard version model.
The vivo S15E, an entry-level smartphone, is expected to be equipped with a 6.44-inch AMOLED FHD+ display, a 16MP selfie camera in the front and trio cameras with a 50MP main camera in the rear. It has a 2.8 GHz eight-core processor, a maximum of 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The smartphone has a 4605mAh battery, supports 66W fast charging and has an in-display fingerprint sensor.
